This means that with him as our ultimate cycling fan we have designed much of our activity and relaxation program according to your needs. Our resort is the perfect starting point for mountain bike and e-bike tours: 600 kilometres of forest trails, 40.000 vertical metres, 9 freeride tracks, 2 nature parks and the most beautiful route in the world are waiting for our bike fans.

Owner Werner Call has been taking full advantage of the extensive trail network that surrounds his resort in the past 20 years. He already has thousands of biking kilometres inside the nature park under his belt and perhaps knows all the challenges out there better than anyone else. As a professional, for years he has been guiding his guests through the magical landscapes. As owner of the resort he not only knows the hotel but also the entire region like his own back pocket.

Mountain cyclist Werner Call discovered his joy of cycling many years ago when he first rode his mountain bike up to the Fanes Alm - since then he has loved experiencing the Dolomites in this way. His passion and the Dolomite landscape, which is predestined for that, have led to the Excelsior becoming a specialised bike hotel. "My favourite bike is the "Maxx e-bike" and my priority tours are still the Fanes-Sennes circuit, the route to the Fojedöra alpine pasture and the tour to the Pragser Wildsee lake. Here in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature park everyone gets their money's worth, even without previous experience."

BIKE SCHOOL SAN VIGILIO

Our mountain bike team consists of the Bike School San Vigilio who were some of the very first bike guides in the Pustertal region and have been offering tours of the Plan de Corones for over 15 years. Our hiking guides underwent training in accordance with the guidelines of the Italian cycling association AMIBike. AMIBike is also accredited by C.O.N.I. (Italian National Olympic Committee)
